International Training Courses Related to Climate Modeling and Prediction, October 20-30, 2003, Beijing - China

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) organized the International Training Courses Related to Climate Modeling and Prediction from October 20-30, 2003 in Beijing, China.

The Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) co-sponsored the event, which was well participated by scientists of the COMSATS member countries. A total of 5 COMSATS member countries were represented at the training course.

The organizing authorities were all praise for COMSATS' role in promoting science and technology in the South for sustainable development and re-iterated their commitment to fostering joint collaborative programmes in future.
