COMSATS Donates 6 Computers to PINSTECH Model School

COMSATS donated 6 computers to PINSTECH Model School on 18 January 2001 in the presence of Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad, Chairman, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Senior Management of COMSATS and PINSTECH.

The donations are made under the Information Technology literacy and capacity building drive of COMSATS for the needy non-profit educational institutions of Pakistan. COMSATS received a lot of 60 computers from Pakistan American Association of Connecticut (PAACT), an NGO operating in USA, as a gift for the youth of Pakistan. These computers along with some others machines funded by COMSATS would be utilized only for Pakistan to propagate the use and facilitate the access to information technology. COMSATS would organize to deliver and install these computers in around 10 government schools getting a share of 6 machines each, interlinked through Local Area Networking (LAN). The server machines and networking accessories, wherever required, will be provided by COMSATS from its own resources.
